Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.
The emphasis on faith development is symbolised at St Anne’s Catholic Primary School Strathfield South in the Student Liturgy and Mission Leadership positions. These students work closely with our Parish Priest, our Religious Education Coordinator and our Family Educator to develop, lead and promote student-centred prayer, liturgy and outreach to those in need. Our parish priest is a regular guest presenter in classes, with input that integrates with the class religious education program. Our senior students really benefit from joining with students from other Catholic schools in the Ignite Faith Day and the Mini Vinnies Retreat Day. They also engage in a number of hours of parish community volunteering to earn their Pope Francis Awards.
